a half day of fun

9:05 AM

おはよう~! just woke up & thought I would post something today.

so yesterday, I had quite the best time of the month (yes, month). I arranged an art meet with one of my ex-high school friend, Carmen @ Oceanus Waterfront Mall, though that wasn't originally where we intended to meet. what made us changed our meeting place from IMAGO Shopping Mall to Oceanus was this: -

- yes. coincidentally (was scrolling through my phone's gallery, saw this picture again & immediately remembered about it), our art meet was on the same day with the Japanese Cosplay Event!! heck, of course we're going!

so we meet up at Oceanus & went straight to find the event place. after spending few minutes of walking (and maybe with a bit of luck) we found the event place (the place was sort of hidden ._.). i regretted not taking lots of pictures (especially with the cosplayers!!!) but i do have quite a few pictures and a video of the event on my Snapchat Story. here's some pic from Snapchat of the majestic experience -

I hope i'm not mistaken, but the blue-haired girl cosplayed Mikaze Ai from Uta no Prince-sama..right?
small crowd.
yeah.. totally regretted not taking lots of pictures, but then the event was really fun to watch at (though I was quite disappointed that the event space was TOO SMALL). some of the cosplays that I saw was Kaneki Ken & Juuzou Suzuya of Tokyo Ghoul, Sebastian Michaelis of Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), Hatsune Miku, characters from Love Live!, etc etc etc. there's also stuffs that came straight from Japan, brought there to be sold like yukatas, sensus (Japanese traditional fan), stationeries, onigiri moulder, etc & also there's 2 Purikura booth! man I got goosebumps experiencing it, literally.

so after that short magical moment, we proceeded to Starbucks to do our art meet. we didn't get to do much due to the time where we only managed to see each other's art while sipping our drinks (with some small talk about life slitted in), also I gave Carmen some small gifts of my anime chibi drawings & she was excited to get to try my Copics :)

Copic Markers, pens & the small Haikyuu!! chibi drawing gifts I gave her. Photo taken by her on Instagram, so full credits to Carmen~

Carmen trying out the Copics xD

I went home soon after that. it was indeed short but I still had fun. hoping to do this more in the future.

also, I've been wanting to try to rent a booth during OTAFUSE 5th Anniversary Event held at Suria Sabah next month (more details below!!) & HobbyCon 2015 to sell my artworks, but idk I think its expensive and I might have not much free time to go the events.. so might as well forget about it. maybe next time I will. in the coming future. I hope so. but I think I'll go and check out the event anyway. okay bye~
