hello~ sorry for the short inactiveness. got quite a handful of stuffs to do & I can only post when I'm free.
I went on my Instagram's art account almost everyday and scrolls through my feed. looking at some of the amazing art, I felt kinda down because my negativity is taking over me. I kept on thinking "I'll never be able to draw like this". but things wouldn't change or improve if I keep on doing nothing and let my negativity overwhelm me. so lately, I've been doing lots of practices for my drawing. I think I made quite the progress throughout the practices, even if it's just a slight improvement.
most of my practices were anatomies - eyes, hands, & poses. I used myself as a reference & a little bit from easy sources like magazines, mangas, observing people, etc. here's the outcome of the practices (taken from my instagram's art acc) :
....aaaand that is all there is. there's like a whole lot more to do to improve my art skills.
I am also planning to try out a new medium - Koi Watercolors, product by SAKURA + Koi Waterbrush. I've seen artists use these mediums & I wanna try it out for myself too. I consider the watercolor & the waterbrush special because 1) the colors are really subtle, but not to the extent of looking dull (depends on how much water you use too), and 2) the waterbrush itself is unique; it has its own water storage so you don't have to do the usual stuff where you fill a cup of water to dip your brush into the cup. gonna buy it online, soon.
I hope I would improve a lot more in the coming future~ because there is always room to improve. until then ^∆^
